His professional interests include dermatology, internal medicine, and practical problem-solving. He values the human-animal bond and the important role veterinary care plays in supporting both pets and their people.

Outside the hospital, he enjoys cooking, woodworking, tinkering with electrical and mechanical projects, gardening, and maintaining his property in Battle Ground with his family.
